Privacy Policy
The short version
Draw Closer shows conversation prompts. We collect the minimum needed to run the app: an email address if you create an account, purchase records so the decks you buy stay yours, and an email address if you ask us to tell you when a deck launches. We don't run ads, we don't sell data, and we never see the conversations your family has. Those happen off the screen, which is the point.
What we collect
Account information. If you create an account: your email address and a password (stored as a secure hash). Accounts are optional for using the free deck, and required only to purchase decks so they can be restored across devices.
Purchase records. When you buy a deck, the app store (Apple or Google) processes the payment. We receive and store a record of what was purchased, linked to your account, so we can unlock your content. We never see or store your payment card details.
Deck launch requests. If you tap "Notify me when it launches" on a deck that isn't out yet, we store that email address alongside the deck you asked about, so we can tell you when it arrives. We use it for that and nothing else.
Deck news. If you tick "Email me when new decks launch," we store your email address on a separate list and use it to let you know about new decks. That box is never ticked for you, and you can leave the list at any time.
That's it. We don't collect location, contacts, photos, browsing history, or analytics identifiers, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
Services we rely on
We use a small number of service providers to operate the app, each receiving only what's needed for their role: Supabase (account authentication and our content database), RevenueCat (purchase validation), and Apple App Store / Google Play (payment processing under their own privacy policies).
Children
Draw Closer is designed for families to use together. Accounts and purchases are intended for adults; the app is meant to be used by children together with a parent or caregiver. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
You can use the free deck without any account. You can delete your account and its data at any time, immediately, from the Account screen ("Delete account"), which removes your login and records from our systems right away. You can also email us to request deletion. Deleting your Draw Closer account does not cancel your store purchases: those stay tied to your App Store or Google Play account. To get them back, sign in (creating a new account if you deleted your old one), then tap "Restore purchases" on the Account screen.
If you're on the deck news list, you can leave it at any time by emailing us, and every email we send will have an unsubscribe link. Deleting your account takes you off that list as well.
Data retention & security
Account and purchase data are kept while your account exists so your decks remain available, and are deleted when you delete your account. Your purchase history is also held by our payment processor (RevenueCat) and the app store, which is what makes purchases restorable after deletion. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with access controls that limit reading to your own account.
Changes & contact
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the effective date above and note the change in the app. Questions or requests: support@drawcloser.app.
